When asked about their position in a water war, many people say, "Sniper". But are there really snipers in water wars? In this article, I will try to explain what I think a sniper is in a water war.

First, the similarities between a real life sniper and a water war sniper:

  • Both are trying to eliminate a target from a usually long range.
  • Both try to remain hidden.
  • Both must have good accuracy with their weapon.

So, there are some similarities between the two.

Now, the differences between the two:

  • Real life snipers can engage their targets from ranges of one mile or more, while we are limited to a range of around 30-40 feet with most weapons.
  • Real life sniper rifles fire bullets, while water guns fire streams of water.
  • Most sniper rifles have scopes that can magnify a target up to 10X its normal size. A scope would be useless on a watergun.
  • Real life snipers use camouflage suits, while most water warriors do not have these materials.
  • Most real sniper rifles do not require pumping like water guns.

There are obviously several differences between the two.

Therefore, water war snipers are much different than their real life counterparts. On this site, I will call these troops Sharpshooters, because that's what they are. Until Larami makes a SuperSoaker that can shoot over 100 feet, I won't be changing my stance on this issue.
